TITLE: Network Administrator
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field and 12 months of experience as a Information Technology required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Installing and optimizing operating systems, application software, and tools, ensuring maximum system availability and performance; Customer Support and User Management; Windows workstations and Windows servers; Hardware, server, software, and databases; SFTP servers and supporting clients with connection; Standard TCP/IP Network protocols (DHCP, DNS, SMB); Switching and routing on layer 2 and layer 3 according to the OSI model. Extensive knowledge of principles, policies, and beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and must be a member in regular and good standing.
JOB DUTIES: Maintain computer networks and systems including software, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware. Install and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues. Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected. Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks. Communicate networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users. Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems. Understand and support key software including CRM, phone system, Office 365, and NVR security camera system. Manage all aspects of the Windows environment including maintenance and support of workstations and endpoints. Collaborate with the AIM Director to manage the daily operations of the IT Department including project planning, prioritization, and scheduling. Manage and maintain healthy backups of all systems. Maintain firewall and understanding of rules. Identify and solve complex IT problems. Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring of IT student workers. Write comprehensive and effective documentation. Maintain and enhance Active Directory, Group Policies, login scripts, OUs and permissions. Evaluate, plan, test, and document computer software. Assist in planning and attend AIM sponsored training and social events. Participate in self-improvement leadership training activities on a regular basis. Ability to be on call at least 1 week a month. Ability to work some late nights/weekends due to maintenance window. Attend and report at AIM Staff Meetings. Perform other functions as deemed necessary by the Director.
