TITLE: CAD ENGINEER (Computer-aided design Engineer)

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 24 months experience as Computer-aided design (CAD) Engineer, CAD Design Engineer, in CAD Design or in CAD Drafting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.

JOB DUTIES: Prepare detailed drawings using CAD (Computer-aided design). Draft detailed drawings for project installations. Prepare multiple versions of drawings for review. Design: Access Control, Schematics, Fire Alarm, Closed Circuit Television, Terminal, and Conduit Work CAD Drawings. Create complete engineered design packages as directed by the Project Engineer. Engineered design packages include but are not limited to, door and camera detail drawings, schedules and risers, and wired access panel details. Maintain the engineering file server, including the drawing database, loading schedule database, and the tech tip database. Maintenance consists of insuring that the files are stored in logical order, current revisions are stored, and regular and frequent backups are made. Create and maintain the CAD detail binder as directed by the engineering manager. This duty includes insuring that the binder is complete, updated, and regular and frequent updates are distributed to detail binder holders. Correct and modify designs and drawings to ensure smooth installation. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Interpret sketches, analyze building codes and other technical documents in preparation for drafting CAD drawings. Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, drawings, and specifications. Keep records and database updated. Perform design reviews and implement design changes. Permit processing.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week.

SALARY: $60,000.00 per year.
