TITLE: Animation Tools Engineer – Automation
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalency.
JOB DUTIES: Work with animators to understand their needs and requirements for new and existing tools. Design, develop, and implement new animation tools. Debug and maintain existing animation tools. Work with other engineers and artists to integrate animation tools into the production pipeline. Stay up to date on the latest technologies. Document and maintain all animation tools. Participate in research and development of new technologies. Collaborate with cross-studio engineers and animators to create and implement new tools. Work closely with software’s such as Maya to help with the tools. Develop and maintain ShotGrid data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing animation data. Work with animators to improve the usability of ShotGrid for data management. Develop and maintain compass CI/CD pipelines for automating the build, test and deployment of animation tools. Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery practices to ensure the reliability of animation tools. Work with engineers and animators to improve the efficiency of the animation production pipeline. Work to streamline the world class animation tools suite and software. Support and advance the software tools used by every animation team at the studio. Optimize the animation workflows to utilize various tasks from the games. Break down existing workflows into pieces that can be run on automation machines. Maintain and improve the current multi-platform distributed task systems. Communicate and collaborate with internal teams to implement new technologies.
Salary range: $117,587/year to $142,600/year
