TITLE: Technical Artist
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Animation or related field or foreign equivalency.
JOB DUTIES: Provide support throughout the character production process, working closely with 3D character artists, concept artists and animators. Work will be aligned to the needs of a production pipeline and teams we support, and work collaboratively with other departments including game design, animation, and VFX. Build complex rigs and maintain a high level of visual and technical quality for all characters. Duties involve skinning, ragdolls, anatomy, cloth/hair, and a scripted environment. Works alongside artists, engineers and producers to bring characters to life. Through rigging, simulation and coding technical artists help support the game pipeline by assisting animation with requests and problem-solving. Collaborate with modelling and concept to update characters and set dressings. Aide other artists in keeping cohesion and functionality in the game. Work with a variety of tools, such as Maya, Wing, in-house engines and coding systems that are part of the workflow.
Salary range: $91,520/year to $124,000/year
