TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalency and 2 years of experience in the job or 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation.

JOB DUTIES: Design and build advanced applications using the C++ language. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance. Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Own end-to-end responsibility on projects of increasing complexity, from technical design through completion and deployment. Participate in full application lifecycle (concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release management). Write clean, correct code incorporating feedback from code reviews; consistently follow and enforce best practices. Leading and/or mentoring other developers; helping them improve their coding skills, work habits, and team collaboration. Collaborate on API contracts which are documented and agreed upon by multiple stakeholders. Investigate and Prototype new technologies. Foresee future changes, lead the feature team to provide expandable and scalable solutions. Participate in cross-team engineering efforts such as improving code review system, build pipeline, monitoring, etc.

Salary range: $150,000/year to $201,880/year

JOB DUTIES: Contribute to the development of architecture, technology, frameworks, and libraries (our core platform) which facilitate the authoring, deployment, and operation of scalable, highly, performant, and highly available distributed services. Adhere to established coding standards, & development practices, maintain efficient coding practices, and produce clean code that works. Perform research to discover new, enabling technologies and acquire knowledge necessary to complete assigned tasks. Create technical design documents and other artifacts. Participate in code & design reviews. Mentor junior engineers and participate in code and design reviews. Participate in on-call rotation to rapidly resolve live incidents related to our systems. Collaborate with teams building on the core platform. Work with Site Reliability Engineering to optimize CI/CD service containerization, deployment, and autoscaling. Work with IT on optimizing internal and external cloud infrastructure. Focus on outcomes, rather than output. Uphold and promote the company Core Values.

Salary range: $164,800/year to $201,880/year
