JOB DUTIES: Push the graphical limitations of our engine, maintain frame rate requirements, and deliver content within memory and disk footprint budgets. Create tools and processes that facilitate content authoring with an emphasis on user experience, quality and productivity. Collaborate with other Technical Artists to improve studio tools and pipelines. Proactively identify problems, propose solutions and seek out buy-in from the team regarding implementation strategy.

TITLE: Environment Artist

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Fine Arts, Game Art or related field.

JOB DUTIES: Implement visual effects to support both gameplay and storytelling. Work closely with engineering teams to implement new effects technology. Set the pace for the visual style of VF X on an unannounced project. Creation of handcrafted visual effects to be used in real-time game assets. Technical setup, integration, and troubleshooting of VFX in a realtime game engine. Work with Art Director to ensure timely completion of VFX assets at the desired quality bar. Serve as an active participant in team art discussions, critiques, and reviews. Paint special FX textures from scratch and match an established style.
