TITLE: Technical Artist, Characters
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Digital Arts, or related field or foreign equivalency.
JOB DUTIES: Responsible for creating and supporting the character rigs for the online game. Use computer software to generate new images. Create designs, concepts, and original rigs/skins, based on knowledge of applicable principles and esthetic design concepts. Stay current with research new software or design concepts. Work with the art department to make sure character models are created properly and are ready to be rigged. Work with the animation department to help build easy to use rigs that can support the creation of appealing, keyframed animated performances. Rig, skin, and create simulations for cloth and hair in Maya across a diverse set of characters and monsters. Produce still and animated graphics for art and animation departments. Streamline the content creation pipeline to help support the team’s work more efficiently.
Salary range: $85,009/year to $100,000/year
