TITLE: Piano Teacher
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent of Music in Piano.
JOB DUTIES: Teach classical piano, practical and theory from beginner to advanced level. Teach students individually or in groups, using methods like demonstrations, discussions, and hands-on practice. Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to students’ skill levels and interests. Prepare students for school concerts and planned music experiences. Assign practice and other music-related homework and test students on their knowledge. Prepare students for practicals and exams. Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to pupils entering and preparing pupils for examinations. Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources. Assess pupils’ abilities, providing feedback and writing reports. Keep records of students progress and complete annual student evaluations. Mandatory participation in all school events. Monitor students’ performance and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills. Build relationships and mentoring students and parents. Provide written assignment to students and parents after each class. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and payments. Stay updated on teaching methods, music trends, and piano techniques through research or attending workshops.
