TITLE: Editor
REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of experience in the job or 2 years of experience in a related occupation.
JOB DUTIES: Plan, acquire and edit content for the company’s print books. This includes, but is not limited to assigning freelance content, writing, and editing articles, and securing signed contracts from all contributors. Coordinate with authors, freelance writers, and photographers as necessary to negotiate article fees, develop story concepts and plan for future books. Manage layout of all books by working closely with the graphic designer to facilitate, edit, and approve print layout and cover design. Approve final layouts for books once uploaded to the printer’s website. Work with marketing and sales to coordinate advertising for books, making sure there are no blank pages or missing advertisements from any books. Identify new advertising leads, conceptualize new marketing incentives, and be on top of any relevant industry-related trends.
