TITLE: Stainless Steel Buyer
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field and knowledge of major manufacturers in China and East Asia and 2+ years experience in purchasing stainless steel or related materials in a manufacturing environment.
JOB DUTIES: Analyze and evaluate materials and products; Visit suppliers, access supplier profiles, and analyze offers; Identify, research, and assess vendors based on factors such as price, quality, delivery, reliability, and past performance; Negotiate buying terms, prices, and conditions, and issue purchase orders; Maintain accurate records and data for each purchase order; Monitor, negotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers or vendors; Develop profitable purchasing strategies with effective negotiation tactics; Build and maintain a competent supplier base to ensure quality goods and services; Attend industrial events, fairs, and exhibitions to keep abreast of the market’s trends.
