JOB DUTIES: Develop and analyze information to assess the company’s current or future financial status, prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts and help management make financial decisions. Creating budgets, monitoring expenses, and forecasting future financial performance to ensure profitability. Ensuring that there is enough cash flow to cover operational expenses, including payroll, equipment maintenance, and supplies. Preparing financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to assess the company’s financial performance. Monitoring and reducing costs related to labor, materials, fuel, and equipment while maintaining service quality. Assisting with pricing strategies for landscaping projects and ensuring that bids cover costs and desired profit margins. Overseeing billing and collections, paying suppliers, and ensuring timely payments to employees and contractors. Ensuring the company complies with tax regulations and maximizing tax advantages where possible. Making recommendations regarding equipment purchases, financing options, and managing capital expenditures. Identifying financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, including managing insurance coverage and liability. Analyzing project profitability, return on investment (ROI), and overall business performance to guide future growth and decision-making.

SALARY: $87,256 per year.

JOB DUTIES: Serve as a finance applications advisor for the Senior Director of Global financial applications and North American users including and not limited to senior management extending to all the levels of the company. Provide the finance business, application leadership to support continued growth and to migrate from its current finance business applications to a cohesive finance systems environment. Specifically, participate in the planning and execution of system and application implementations. Co-ordinate North American submissions to the continuous enhancements program through quarterly releases. The North American business will submit enhancement requests which will need to be clarified, documented and approved within corporate guidelines. Liaise with the offshore support supplier when requested to maintain the level of outstanding tickets at an acceptable level. Work closely with the users of financial applications to be able to identify, develop (in conjunction with the Manager for Documentation and processes) and deliver training on system functionality. Work closely with IT staff to create an efficient and effective organization. Drive improvements to operating margin by identifying cost saving opportunities and net revenue growth. Analyzes the needs of functional departments and establishes priorities for feasibility studies and finance systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify information processing systems. Review and approve alternative systems approaches and reengineered processes for workability and economic feasibility. Regularly meet with operating management to understand business challenges, needs and issues and identify pragmatic solutions that meet expectations. Provide leadership & solution to the business in delivering results from enhancing and optimizing finance business applications. Ensure effective work split in the Finance Applications team. Monitor workload and work priorities. Give support and guidance to others in the team as needed. Ensure that Finance is operating efficiently. Evaluate systems and tools used in Finance to ensure they are used effectively and efficiently. Drive process improvements and standardization to reduce/eliminate inefficiencies. Work with IT to develop short and long-term finance systems strategy

Managing various implementations and the delivery of requested enhancements to Oracle financial applications and other applications used within Finance such as Revenue Reporting, Sabrix or equivalent tax applications, AP Imaging solutions, Oracle GRC, Alliant and Oracle Cloud implementations. Managing the relationships with Oracle eBusiness Suite, Hyperion Planning and other cross functional applications/teams. Project management for design, development and testing of new functionality. Duties involves tactical decision making and leading the day-to-day operations, managing people or programs to meet business objectives and quality standards. Providing input towards strategic decisions that affect functional area of responsibility in addition to being able to establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinates.
