JOB DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer software or specialized utility programs as a senior engineer for work on existing codebases and to write elegant, high performing extensible code. Implement, debug and optimize major features and content in C/C++ and other languages in the context of a large cross platform codebase. Spearhead development of innovative gameplay experiences. Contribute to game architecture and technical designs and postmortems. Perform data and code analysis to identify improvement opportunities. Provide mentorship to other team engineers.

Salary range: $145,000/year to $201,880/year

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Entertainment Technology, or related field.

JOB DUTIES: Create special effects or animations using computers or other tools to create high quality materials for an AAA game franchise. Create and support the character rigs for the game. Work with the art department to make sure character models are created properly and are ready to be rigged. Work with the animation dept to create easy to use rigs to support the creation of keyframed animated performances. Rig, skin, and create simulations for cloth and hair in Maya across a diverse set of characters and monsters. Help streamline the content creation pipeline to assist your work and that other artists work more efficiently. Work with and mentor other character technical artists.

Salary range: $106,704/year to $124,000/year

REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of experience in the job or 2 years of experience as a Designer, Development Tester, or in a related occupation.

JOB DUTIES: Design core features of video games. Create combat encounters, game mechanics, and scripted moments to support the design and development of a game with a focus on technical elements. Design new environments and implement story elements. Develop gameplay spaces and implement elements into the game client using tools such as various scripting tools. Work with other designers to dissect and discuss level design and gameplay in recent games. Apply scripting languages within the design. Collaborate with experienced Designers and other departments on creating and implementing new game features, lighting, artwork, SFX and VFX.

Salary range: $118,000/year to $194,500/year
