TITLE: Senior Network Engineer
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering with a concentration in Information Technology, or related field or foreign equivalency and 2 years of experience in the job or 2 years of experience as a Network Engineer, Technical Consultant, or a related occupation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Any suitable combination of education, training, &/or experience is acceptable.
JOB DUTIES: Configure and manage various tools and services of network engineering to troubleshoot complex network incidents quickly and effectively. Contribute to the overall capacity planning, footprint expansion, and architecture of the backbone network. Participate in various network projects from design to implementation, provide clear documentation, SOPs and usage guidance for junior engineers and administrators. Configure and manage the Backbone network environment including various tools and services. Work on multiple routing and switching protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, multicast, etc. Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, DWDM. Deliver training for network engineering staff to level up by providing and explaining different network designs and implementations. Manage Internet Exchange (IX) and peering relationships. Automate tasks using programming languages like Python, Go, and Ruby. Leverage various tools to configure and manage the network such as puppet, ansible, and salt. Participate in on-call rotations.
Salary range: $169,950/year to $201,880/year
