TITLE: Structural Designer
REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science in Civil Engineering with Concentration in Structural and Earthquake Engineering.
JOB DUTIES: Produce non-linear response-history analyses using performance-based design methods for seismically resilient building structures. Create analysis tools and programs for the design of seismically resilient building structures. Analyze and design members, connections, and building systems in steel, concrete, wood, and masonry. Use OpenSees, MATLAB, ETABS, Concept, Perform3D, RISA3d, and other analysis software to analyze earthquake-resilient structural system designs for new and existing buildings in various materials. Use OpenSees, MATLAB, and other programming tools to create analysis tools for designing earthquake-resilient structural systems for new and existing buildings in various materials. Use Revit and other production software to produce detailed, cost-efficient, and code-compliant construction contract documents for structural system designs for new and existing buildings in various materials. Prepare detailed and accurate calculations that clearly demonstrate the efficiency of the structural system designs and their compliance with all applicable codes. Review analysis software input and output carefully and verify with simple methods.
