TITLE: Marketing Manager
REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of experience in the job or 2 years of experience as a Sales Account Manager or in a related occupation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Any suitable combination of education, training &/or experience is acceptable.
JOB DUTIES: Direct and oversee the organization’s marketing policies, objectives and initiatives for the US and North America. In charge of overseeing the promotion of the company’s brands. Set short and long-term marketing strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current marketing. Plan, direct, or coordinate the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate marketing distribution by establishing marketing territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for marketing representatives during the growth of the US organization. Analyze marketing statistics gathered by staff to determine marketing potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers. Develop a pricing strategy that maximizes profits and market share. Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors. Identify new customers. Support sales and lead generation efforts. Formulate, direct, or coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products or services, working with advertising or promotions managers. Understand and develop budgets, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. Develop and manage advertising campaigns. Organize company conferences, trade shows and major events. Build brand awareness and positioning. Evaluate and maintain a marketing strategy. Direct, plan and coordinate marketing efforts. Communicate the marketing plan. Develop each marketing campaign from start to finish. Research demand for the organization’s products and services in the US market. Evaluate competitors. Handle various media, account relation efforts, and content marketing.
